Welcome to Internat Saint-Willibrord

Our internat is located on the grounds of the former Benedictine Abbey in Echternach. A time-honoured building from 1727 with real sandstone walls, high rooms and long corridors. Saint-Willibrord, "d'Bulett", combines tradition and modernity. The building was renovated, adapted to today's needs and equipped with modern facilities. Our infrastructure is barrier-free. The internat is located in the same building as the Lycée classique. Our internat is home to 54 boys and girls who attend one of the post-primary schools in the surrounding area:

A further ten pupils can be welcomed after school in the "semi-internat" (semi-internship).

You have your own space.

You have your own room or, if you wish, share a large twin room with another student. It is equipped with modern, practical furniture. You bring your own bedding and personal belongings. You can decorate your room according to your own taste. You have a key to your room.

You are part of a big community.

he rooms are located on the second floor of the building and are divided by a corridor. Each section has its own showers and toilets. Three common rooms and the office of our educators are on the same floor. Under the roof there is a huge storage room. On the ground floor you find two refectories, large dining rooms where we eat together. Lunch is served in the school canteen, which our internat also runs. For breakfast and dinner, we are among ourselves in the refectory.

You always have a reliable contact person.

You have a reference educator who takes special care of you and is responsible for you. He also keeps in touch with your parents and your school. We are a big team and you can talk to any of us. If you want, you can also talk to a psychologist. He or she can work with you to solve problems. These conversations are strictly confidential.

Our day has a fixed framework.

We eat together in the morning and in the evening. Community is very important to us. After school, all students report back by 15:00. Then our activities begin. After that, it is homework time. After dinner, you have free time. Our internat is always open until 19:45, when the entrance is locked.

We help you every day with your homework. With us, you can become independent and achieve your goals. In the afternoons between 16:40 and 18:25, it's homework time. Normally, you study in your own room. The educators will support you. If you wish, you can also study after dinner between 19:00 and 19:45.

You can use the library and the computer room to look something up or work on something. Of course, there is Wi-Fi everywhere in the internat.

We have many well-equipped rooms where you can get active. In the art room you will find everything you need to get creative. Instruments are waiting for you in the music room. In the cinema room with beamer you can watch films together. There are several table tennis tables under the roof. We also have a fitness room with equipment. We can also use the school's library, sports hall and football pitch. In our common room there is a pool table and a table football.

Every Monday, Tuesday and Thursday between 15:00 and 16:00 we have activities together. On Wednesdays, we come together in a "groupe de vie" according to age.

If you are a member of a club, you can of course still take part in the club activities. Several sports clubs and the youth centre are in our immediate vicinity.

Cuisine pédagogique

Here you can prepare part of the evening meal together with others. The chef and an educator support you. A small group, which changes so that everyone is there, serves dinner every day.

Mérite jeunesse

St. Willibrord is involved with two tutors in the annual "Mérite jeunesse", the largest worldwide youth programme. With us, you can take part and realise your own projects, pursue goals, network globally and show how you want to change the world.

Relais pour la Vie

For several years, the internat has participated with young people and staff in the "Relais pour la Vie" organised by the "Fondation Cancer".
